MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE
Located in the Midwest's agricultural heart and situated near one million acres of national forest, the College of Agricultural Sciences emphasizes the development of food, agriculture and natural resources.
Our science-based undergraduate and graduate degree programs focus on the agricultural sciences, production technology, business and management, public policy and economic development, education and information, environmental quality and enhancement, recreation, and food and fiber utilization. Faculty researchers teach our classes and conduct hands-on laboratories, integrating theory and practice with a problem-solving approach. Our 2,000 acre, on-campus farm allows us to offer the best in traditional agricultural education, while our dynamic faculty expand our academic and research focus into such fields as nutrition and health, the production of specialty crops, tourism, and the protection and enhancement of the environment.
We are proud of our more than 10,000 alumni who serve in leadership positions throughout the nation. We maintain close contact with agribusiness and commodity groups, turfgrass producers, hotel and restaurant owners and operators, foresters and environmental agency heads, and those who hire the graduates we've trained and use the new knowledge we uncover.
Come and take a closer look at our College, and you will see that we are "more than meets the eye."
